Commuting to Campus

UNM is one of the most accessible campuses in the region with multiple commute options.

Bike

UNM is rated one of the most bike friendly campuses in the Southwest. Protected bike lanes run along Central Avenue and University Boulevard, connecting most nearby neighborhoods directly to campus.

Bus

ABQ Ride provides frequent service along Central Avenue (Route 66) and several cross town routes. The ART (Albuquerque Rapid Transit) bus rapid transit line stops directly at UNM.

Drive

Campus parking permits are available by zone. Most employees in the Northeast Heights or Downtown can reach campus in 15 minutes or less via I-25 or Central Avenue.

Walk

Nob Hill and the UNM area neighborhoods put you within a 5 to 15 minute walk of most campus buildings. Many faculty and staff choose to live car free in these areas.
